Worship at taylorsville

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them" Matthew 18:20
Soak in the history as you walk into our sanctuary, originally built in 1842. The clean white walls, sun-filled windows, dark wood pews and calm green carpet and cushions create a welcoming space we are proud to call the heart of our church.

Worship has a traditional yet timeless Baptist feel, while also incorporating the gifts and talents of our members. Our ministry team follows the Revised Common Lectionary calendar and we observe the liturgical seasons and celebrations of Advent, Lent, Pentacost and Christ's Ascension.

We offer liturgical services on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter morning, and Christmas Eve. In September, our congregation hosts a special river service with baptisms. At Thanksgiving, we hold a joint-service with the nearby congregation of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

CONTINUING TO WORSHIP WHILE AT HOME
As our community navigates the Coronavirus pandemic, we will continue to provide prayer, sermons and worship in new ways.  Joshua 1:9 reminds us of an amazing promise - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” And so we will not be people of worry but people of trust; even when we may need daily reminders of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
